Best Dressed at The Oscars

By: Monika Hibbs of The Doctor's Closet
Wow, what a fabulous night at the Oscars! The Blush ladies and myself had a lovely evening at one of the best Oscar parties in Vancouver- The Oscars at Cinema! We got all "Blush-ed" up, enjoyed the company of Vancouver's best dressed and delicious food... Oh! and The Academy Awards of course! There was a lot of "Ooo's", "Awwwe's", "What what she thinking?" and "Didn't Nicole Kidman already wear that??". Over all, we had an amazing time drooling over the stunning gowns on the red carpet!
After many hours of deciding, I've finally come up with my "Best Dressed" last night! Who's your favourite?
1. Milla Javovich in Elie Saab
2. Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton
3. Camron Diaz in Gucci Premiere
4. Stacy Keibler in Marchesa
5. Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji
6. Kristen Wiig in J Mendel
7. Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli
8. Jessica Chastain in Alexandra MxQueen
9. Gweneth Paltrow in Tom Ford
I had such a fun time co-hosting last nights event with The Donnely Group and the ladies from Booje Media! Hope to see you all there next year!

Oscars' Best Dressed!

Fashion’s biggest night is coming up this Sunday, February 26th, as celebrities hit the red carpet for the 84th Annual Academy Awards. This is the night where our fashion fantasies come alive (or, in some cases, go terribly awry)! Maybe it’s because we spend so much time with the classic whites and ivories of bridal, but come Oscar night we’re can’t wait for the rainbow of colours that always grace the red carpet. As we wait and wonder just who will wear what, we look back at some of the most memorable and iconic Oscar gowns of the past twenty years. Stand-out faves in every color include: Halle Berry's iconic Elie Saab burgandy gown (2002), Michelle Williams’ marigold draped and pleated gown by Vera Wang (2006), Nicole Kidman’s haute couture (and wildly controversial) chartreuse John Galliano gown (1997), Charlize Theron’s pale blue ruffle ball gown by Christian Dior (2005), Gwyneth Paltrow’s simple and classic pink ball gown by Ralph Lauren (1998), Mila Kunis’ dreamy lace tiered lavender gown by Elie Saab (2011), Marion Cotillard’s scaly white mermaid gown by Jean Paul Gaultier (2000), Renee Zelwegger’s white old-Hollywood gown by Carolina Herrera (2004), and Julia Roberts’ black and white vintage Valentino gown (2001).
