Blush's Favorite People: Lori Miles of Sweet Pea Photography
Be it at magazine photoshoots or through our brides, we've had the opportunity to work with some of Vancouver's best photographers. One of our personal favorites is Lori Miles of Sweet Pea Photography. Lori has worked with numerous Blush brides and we are always touched by her photos. She has a gift for catching the most genuine of moments, and we marvel at her ability to capture the uniqueness of each wedding she photographs. It never ceases to amaze us just how intimately she is able to capture the bride and the family (and of course, the dress!) that we've come to know and love. Lori and her photos are an inspiration. We love that her passion for what she does shines through. For us, there's no doubt that she photographs with her heart as as well as her eye!

Blush's Favorite Vendors: The Vancouver Club
Blush has had the privilege to work with several wonderful wedding vendors over the years and we think it’s high time we recognize our favorites in the industry. Each month, we’ll feature some fantastic vendors and it’s highly appropriate that we start with The Vancouver Club. This venue is truly breathtaking and is a perfect blend between elegance and heritage.

With several space options including the Lobby, the Grand Ballroom and the Georgian Room, The Vancouver Club is perfectly set-up for weddings big or small. Wedding parties will love getting ready upstairs in the hotel rooms while the groomsmen will likely enjoy the Billiards Room.

How many weddings per year does the club hold?
The Vancouver Club hosts approximately 40 to 50 weddings per year.
What is the busiest season (or month) for weddings at The Vancouver Club?
Most of our weddings take place between June and September.
What do you think are the top 3 reasons The Vancouver Club is always on a bride’s venue wish list?
The Vancouver Club boasts incredible architectural detail and grandeur in all of our event spaces. This unique environment, coupled with our West Coast inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Sean Cousins and impeccable service, ensures an unforgettable experience for our couples and their guests.

Do you have to be a member or related to a member to have your wedding at the club?
The Vancouver Club hosts weddings for both members and non-members.
How early should brides reserve their date to have their wedding at the club?
It is best to book as early as possible to secure your preferred date. 18+ months in advance is recommended.
Have any celebs/local personalities had their wedding at the club?
Without disclosing any names, I will say that The Vancouver Club has been fortunate enough to host many high profile guests, including politicians, musicians and film stars.
What is guest capacity for weddings at the club?
Our Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 200 guests.
Strangest request you have been asked from a bride or planner?
A request for hairspray.... from the groom ;)
Most unique wedding you have witnessed at the club? What made it unique?
Liquid nitrogen "smoking" champagne, burlesque dancers, stilt walkers, Marilyn Monroe impersonators, and the list goes on...
Your top tips for brides on their big day?
Relax, breathe, and take in as much of the day as you can, because it goes by in a heartbeat. Enjoy it!
